Vietnam has gone over a month without a domestic transmission of the coronavirus. It has so far recorded 1,096 infections, of which 38 remain active.
At this time, Vietnam is only offering entry to diplomats, experts, investors and their respective family members, and Vietnamese returning home.
Since the start of the coronavirus outbreak, Vietnam has closely monitored the situation and installed a series of proactive, comprehensive measures to combat the spread of the virus within the country and prepare its public health facilities.
Past experience with other epidemics, places Vietnam in a strong position to protect its population as well as visitors passing through. Currently all golf courses are opening for the expats and local golfers to play. Most of the hotels are re-opening, including in Danang, where more than 400 hotels have resumed their operations and most of the city’s tourist sites reopening their doors to visitors. On Oct 04, Danang city welcomed the first leisure domestic group after more than two months that all tourism activities in the city were suspended. Restaurants, bars, pub and attractions in Vietnam are also operating normally.
